Economic reform of centrally planned economy following the Rozsypal's reform in Czechoslovakia

Bachelor thesis deals with centrally planned economy in Czechoslovakia since the early 1950s to the beginning of the 1960s. Attention is devoted to analysing issues connected with attempts to economic changes, specifically The Rozsypal's Reform in the 50s of the 20th century. The first part of this thesis gives a brief introduction to the issue of central planning. It also pays attention to the first and second five-year plan, their failures and the impact on the Czechoslovak economy. Finally goes to the very root causes, development and consequences of The Rozsypal's Reforms. The chosen topic is solved using the method description. The main objectives of this bachelor thesis are not only analyse and evaluate economic reforms, but also realize the first extensive efforts to change the economic situation. The Rozsypal's Reforms were not successful. The main obstacle to these efforts is the system of centrally planned economy itself.

Industry in the first Czechoslovakian five - year plan

The main subject of this bachelor thesis is an industry against a background of the first czechoslovakian five - year plan, so fifties of twentieth century. The industry circumstances are connected with a post - war transformations in Czechoslovakia in the first czechoslovakian five - year plan, therefore the first part of this thesis deals with historical surroundings. There are another important heads in this period, e.g. the process of nationalization and the policy of KSČ, I would like to introduce the first five - year plan and the importance of the industry with these chapters. The another parts due to my plan will be in detail focused on the industry and the main branches in the first five - year plan with an orientation especially on heavy industry. The method of questionnaire should by used to discover what kind of overview about this period do have my colleagues from VŠE at the close of my thesis. Information will be abstracted from available published same as unpublished sources.

Czechoslovak economy during the first five-year plan

The main subject of this bachelor thesis is the czechoslovak economy during the first five-year plan. Autor relates on background of reconsctruction of state in connection with takeover of power by communistic party and implementation of centrally planned economy. This economic system has been analysed more precisely - from a common point of view and in conditions of Czechoslovakia as well. There is a part dedicated to a process of creation of a plan and functions of plan-making institutions. In context with contemporary escalated international political situation, there is a focus on itegration of Czechoslovakia into COMECON and requirements resulting from this fact. There is also analyzed a process of Sovietisation of Czechoslovak economy with affection by Soviet supervizors, collectivisation of agriculture and industrialisation of Slovakia.

Economy reforms in the second part of the 50.'s

This thesis deals with circumstances of the economic reform designed by Kurt Rozsypal in 1958 -- 1959. It starts with the study of economic and political situation after the Second world war, postwar reconstruction, question of socialization and take over of the communist party. Then, it focuses on analysis of the first Soviet five year plan and effects of its application on Czechoslovak economy. This part is followed by the study of the first economic crisis and the era of New course. Analysis of the second five year plan, its consequences, preparation and realization of Rozsypal's reform and explanation of the reasons its failure are the second part of the thesis. It finishes with the third five year plan, collapse of the economy in 1963 and cancellation of the plan as well as Rozsypal's reform.
